Visual Arts Centre
Artist studios
The Visual Arts Centre provides studio spaces for professional artists at various stages of their careers. A diverse range of contemporary work exists under the one roof. The work space studio environment in the area of the North Circular road gives the artists an opportunity to focus and create their work.

Established in 1979
The Visual Arts Centre was set up as a not for profit limited company. Following a number of relocations around Dublin, the studio settled at 20 Great Strand Street in 1981, in what had been a former shoe factory. For many years the Visual Arts Centre provided studio spaces at this location but eventually closed its doors in 1998. Since then the Visual Arts Centre moved to three further locations in Dublin. The studios were located for a time in Saint Michans Street, North Brunswick Street. The Visual Arts Centre is now located on the North Circular Road.
