A Studio Space For Artists

Artists' Studios

The Visual Arts Centre provides affordable studio spaces for professional visual artists at various stages of their careers. A diverse range of contemporary practices exist under the one roof. The secure studio environment in Dublin’s Stoneybatter gives members the opportunity to focus on their work.

Established in 1979

The Visual Arts Centre Ltd. was set up as a not-for-profit limited company. Following a number of relocations around Dublin the studio settled at 20 Great Strand Street in 1981, renting what had previously been a shoe factory from CIE. Since then the studio moved to Saint Michan's Street, and then again to our current location on North Brunswick Street in Dublin’s north inner city
